The Black Barn, Lake Tarawera

Tironui Wedding Venue

Te Puia Events & Venues
Te Puia enjoys the ambience and backdrop of Rotorua’s iconic geothermal landscape. The new marquee offers the perfect location for your ceremony overlooking the magnificent Pohutu Geyser. Pātaka Kai (the restaurant) overlooks the valley’s geothermal vista, with sweeping views of the world-famous Pōhutu Geyser, Pātaka Kai offers an outdoor deck dining and indoor spaces which can be sectioned off to create private areas.
the Government Gardens - The Band Rotunda and Te Runanga Tea House
Steeped in rich history and natural beauty, the Government Gardens offer a variety of stunning locations for your ceremony. Dating back to 1903, Te Runanga Tea House is one of Rotorua's most nostalgic venues and is perfect for intimate ceremonies and receptions, while the Band Rotunda just outside the Tea House provides a beautiful backdrop, surrounded by roses and other blooms in season.
The Redwoods - Under the Sails
Situated in the gorgeous Whakarewarewa Redwood Forest, The Redwoods ‘Under the sails’ (a large white canvas sail suspended by the broad Redwood trees surrounding it) provides a tranquil and beautiful backdrop to your wedding day. Follow a path covered in Redwood needles, to a setting that is serenely magical and romantic.
June 2023 - Unsure if Under the Sails is available for weddings currently as it was closed for the 2022/2023 wedding season. The Redwoods is still a gorgeous backdrop for your bridal party and couple photos.
Princes Gate
Princes Gate is a Boutique Historic Hotel located in the heart of Rotorua. It combines historic charm with modern elegance and is a splendid choice for a classic wedding. The beautifully restored Victorian mansion, stunning gardens, and attention to detail create a truly unforgettable experience.
Treetops Lodge & Estate
Treetops Lodge is nestled amidst the natural serenity on 2,500 acres of private native forest and pristine wilderness. Our elegant, rustic lodge is surrounded by a beautiful forest, complete with cozy lodges and peaceful streams. You might even spot some wildlife!

The Blue Baths & The Social Room (Currently closed)
The Bathhouse (a category one Historic Place) was “a place for people to have fun in” and up until 2021 it remained true. The elegant Foyer leads to an expansive art deco “Lido Lounge”, whilst up the terrazzo stairs lies the more contemporary styled “The Social Room”; with balconies, historic pools and a heritage gallery. This is the perfect historical venue to celebrate your special day.

Lakes Lodge Okataina
Situated on the shores of Lake Okataina, and surrounded by native bush, Lakes Lodge Okataina enjoys almost total seclusion, as the only habitation on the edge of the lake. Lake Okataina’s stunning location makes us the perfect venue for your wedding day. You can sing and dance the night away at our secluded venue, with everything from meals and drinks, to accommodation taken care of.
