John and Nicole had a marquee set up in the garden for their reception. Over the little bridge, there was another marquee for the ceremony so that their guests weren't sitting in the heat of the sun.
Every detail had been perfectly thought through to achieve Nicole's elegant garden wedding. Her dad made her a LOVE sign out of wood. Lawns games were set out for guests to enjoy however I think John and Nicole's son's enjoyed croquet the most.
The white colour of the marquee, table cloths and napkins were simple but beautiful. Rose gold cutlery and glass charger plates added extra elegance to the details. The tables were decorated beautifully with garlands down the middle and complimented with white candles in glass vases. Guests placenames and favours were little jars of honey with personalised wooden hearts. These were super cute!
John got ready in his family home that overlooked the garden. Nicole got ready at their place which is found up Butterworth Way (a combination of their names - so cool!). These two really do appreciate and notice the details.
Nicole, her dad and sons arrived at the ceremony by horse and cart! Their boys had little signs which they carried while walking up the aisle. George walked up the aisle with his aunty, he was super cute and so proud. While Walter walked up with Nicole and her dad
After their bridal party photos Nicole, John, Michael (their videographer) and I took a helicopter to their other farm that is on the edge of Mount Ngongotaha. I was super excited about this part. Their farm overlooks Lake Rotorua so provided a gorgeous change of scenery. We were super lucky with the weather as cloud cover came over while we were there. Michael and I did a happy dance. Cloud cover is a photographers dream when we can't have shade in the middle of the day. It means we can see your eyes and they don't look like dark circles.
After dinner, we snuck John and Nicole down the farm for some quick sunset photos. We also stopped quickly in front of a tree that I liked and then the shed for John. Once back John and Nicole had their first dance and then the party started. Matt kept everyone on the dancefloor with the music.
John and Nicole thank you so much for having us along! xx
