On The Point | Scott & Emily
Scott and Emily had their gorgeous winter wedding at Peppers on the Point overlooking Lake Rotorua. It was such an awesome, sunny winters day, perfect day for a wedding!
The restaurant was transformed into the reception area and was styled so beautifully by XOX Floral. The chapel with its big window overlooking the lake is absolutely beautiful. Luckily we had a slightly overcast time during the ceremony so we could see some of Lake Rotorua without it blinding us with the sun.
Scott organised with Peppers and a family friend to get Charles (their super cute dog) to be brought along after Emily had entered the ceremony. He had the rings tied to his collar and Emily was so surprised. It was amazing!
After the ceremony, everyone enjoyed canapés under the warm winters sun while listening to live music from Tom Charleson. With the music playing in the background we gathered everyone together for a group photo with the lake behind them and Emily's dad's car (that Scott and his groomsmen arrived in) photobombing. After that, we snuck groups around the corner to the hedge for some family photos.
For the bridal party photos, we explored the grounds at Peppers and made friends with the Donkeys. One of the groomsmen tried to ride one and nearly fell off, it was pretty funny. Meanwhile, the Donkey decided he wanted to be in on the photos too; see if you can find which photo, he blends in with the bridesmaid.
The light was so amazing for Scott and Emily's photos. We took some on the lakefront and then headed up to the car to get photos with that since all the guests had gone inside. While heading up from the lakefront we noticed that during our photo time the Donkey had been looking at us the whole time. Then the sky changed to this gorgeous sunset so we quickly headed to the wharf and I took my lanterns with us.
