On a gorgeous summers day the light under the tree canopy was perfect, no one was squinting or sweating up a storm. Odette from Handcrafted Weddings did a beautiful job of styling the ceremony. A beautiful arch covered in flowers by Soul Cottage Floral Design. Gorgeous old wooden chairs, which I believe came from Pukehina Hall, blended in so well with the orchard. The wood had similar brown tones to the autumn leaves of the Avocado trees (even though it was February - had not expected so many leaves to have fallen). They remind me of the old-school chairs that were in the classrooms.
Michael and Erica are super lucky to have family members with cool cars. Erica arrived in a 1966 Ford Mustang. We even drove it into the Avocado Orchard and took some photos with it under the trees. Apparently, while they were driving from the ceremony to the reception along the Papamoa Highway Erica's veil flew out the window!
For their reception, we headed to Pukehina where her mum lives on a Kiwifruit Orchard. They styled the courtyard with the material that goes over the Kiwifruit as well as many fairy lights. As Pukehina beach was just down the road, we headed there for some gorgeous sunset photos. We didn't have much of a sunset but the soft lighting and clouds were beautiful. Michael and Erica thank you so much for having us along xx
